That's a wrap!

October 14, 2019

Hello BMB fans,

We wrapped up a successful Homecoming weekend, we are excited that so many of our fans were able to join in the festivities (despite the snowy October weather).

The BMB had an exhausting, but exciting, day on Saturday. We went straight from UW-Eau Claire's Homecoming festivities to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to perform for Youth in Music (check out the video below!)

On behalf of all 475 members of the band, I want to thank you again for your generous support of the BMB. Your donation helps us purchase new instruments and uniforms, rent busses to travel to performances like Youth in America, and so much more. We could not continue marching without you.

We have one more half-time show this season on October 26 and an indoor concert at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire. We hope to see you there!

Dr. Randy Dickerson

Director of the Blugold Marching Band

P.S. Thanks again for supporting the BMB! Although we've met our goal of 475 donors, our expenses are ongoing. Please continue to share our page with any fans of the BMB that may be interested in supporting us.

Our 475 donor goal has been met!

September 30, 2019

Good morning, BMB fans!

I am excited to share with you that our goal of 475 donors for the BMB has been met, which means that we will receive that $20,000 matching challenge from an anonymous donor! THANK YOU to everyone who has made a gift so far, your generosity helps us continue marching.

Though we met our goal, there's still time to give. As we continue to grow, our expenses will continue to grow as well. Any additional donations will also support our travel expenses and help us to purchase new instruments, uniforms, and equipment. Please continue to share our campaign with alumni and BMB fans, donor support is more important now than ever!

With gratitude,

Dr. Randy Dickerson

400 donors, WOW!

September 25, 2019

To our BMB fans, friends, and family,

WOW, we've reached quite a milestone! With 400 donations, we are 83% of the way towards reaching our goal of 475 donors!

We've been busy over the past few weeks performing at football games, local festivals, and more. Last weekend, we hit the road to participate in the Chicagoland Marching Band Festival. It was great to represent UW-Eau Claire in Illinois, especially knowing we have your support!

Help us keep the momentum going, please share our donation page with your family and friends. We are so close to reaching our goal, with your help we know we can get there!

With gratitude,

Dr. Randy Dickerson

P.S. Check out the video below of our first half-time performance of the season.

Thank you - we are a quarter of the way there!

September 09, 2019

WOW, 119 generous alumni and fans have made gifts to support the BMB and we are a quarter of the way to receiving that $20,000 match!

Thank you for your generous donations to support the BMB. We really do rely on support from alumni and fans to continue marching. We performed at the first Blugold football game of the season last Saturday, and we are looking forward to many more performances in the next few months! If you happen to be in the Eau Claire area, check us out at the International Fall Festival downtown this weekend on September 15.

Thanks again for your support!

$20

Dr. Dickerson's 20th year

This year marks Dr. Dickerson's 20th year as director of the BMB. Under his leadership, the BMB has grown into the 475 member group that we are today. Honor Dr. Dickerson with a gift of $20!

$50

Copyright expenses

We can't have a Homecoming show without some great tunes. If 100 of our fans and alumni gave $50, we could cover the cost of our copyright expenses for our Homecoming show.

$115

The cost of our student fee

This season, each band member paid $115 to be a part of the BMB (this is on top of the out-of-pocket expenses that they will incur throughout the season). Your gift of $115 will help us get one step closer to minimizing out-of-pocket expenses for students band members.
