What We're Fundraising For
Playing baseball in the Midwest means playing a lot of games in a short amount of time, which requires a large roster—especially pitchers—to maintain a healthy team that can compete day in and day out. Baseball is an equipment-heavy sport, so making sure all the players are properly outfitted and have all the equipment they need is a tall order. As the overall cost of providing an elite student-athlete experience continues to rise, support from our Blugold Family is more crucial than ever.
A gift of any size can have an impact; $25 provides a game hat, $50 covers the cost of a dozen game balls, and $250 buys a bat. We hope you can help us continue building Blugold Baseball by supporting them today!
Our Goal is to Beat our Best
Now in our fourth year of Athletics Giving Week, we are determined to surpass our best results yet. UWEC Director of Athletics, Jason Verdugo, has challenged all teams to exceed their top performance. If we reach our initial goal of $10,500, we’ll receive a $500 bonus, and hitting $11,500 will earn us an additional $500.
Matching Gift Opportunity
In recognition of Coach Reilly and his staff, Roger and Barb Reilly are matching all gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $2,500. Blugold Baseball Alum Bob Bolles '76 is matching all gifts up to $2,500, Roger and Sue Teitz are matching all gifts up to $1,000, and Craig Gibson '71 is matching all gifts up to $500. That means all gifts until we reach $6,500 are going to be doubled for Blugold Baseball. Take advantage of this opportunity to double your impact!
Gifts are counted as one per household per team. Please do not give a gift to the same team for you, your spouse, your child etc. because you all will only be counted as one gift towards the challenge. There is an option to jointly make your gift from you and your spouse to ensure you are both credited for your generosity.
