What We're Fundraising For
This fund allows our athletics coaches access to funds to cover post-season expenses not covered by the NCAA. When our Blugolds win a national championship, this fund will be able to cover the cost of national championship rings for student-athletes and coaches. It is the goal for all teams to represent UWEC at the highest stage, and this fund helps our teams when they need it most and also rewards them when they reach the pinnacle of winning a national title!
Matching Gift Opportunity
Currently, the Director of Athletics, Jason Verdugo, is the chair of the NCAA Division III Management Council, and serves on the NCAA's Board of Governors and the NCAA Division III Championships committee. Because of his commitment to athletics, the NCAA will be matching all gifts to the Champions Fund dollar-for-dollar up to $6,000!
Gifts are counted as one per household per team. Please do not give a gift to the same team for you, your spouse, your child etc. because you all will only be counted as one gift towards the challenge. There is an option to jointly make your gift from you and your spouse to ensure you are both credited for your generosity.
