What We're Fundraising For
Blugold student-athletes train hard to pursue excellence, but that training would not be possible without UWEC Sports Medicine!
The dedicated Sports Medicine staff and students are integral to the Blugold athletic department and work hard to support Blugold student-athletes. Your donation to the Sports Medicine Fund will help provide the tools to help student-athletes and enhance the learning experience for Sports Medicine and Athletic Training students.
This year, the Sports Medicine department would like to purchase several items that will enhance their care for student-athletes, including:
Our Goal is to Beat our Best
Now in our fourth year of Athletics Giving Week, we are determined to surpass our best results yet. UWEC Director of Athletics, Jason Verdugo, has challenged all areas to exceed their top performance. If we reach our initial goal of 20 gifts, we’ll receive a $500 bonus, and hitting 25 gifts will earn us an additional $500. Gifts are counted as one per household. Multiple gifts made from the same household will be disqualified from counting towards our goal.
Matching Gift Opportunity
Mark Faanes knows how important Sports Med is to all our Blugold teams, so he is matching all gifts to the fund dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000! Make your gift during Athletics Giving Week to double your impact for Sports Med.
Gifts are counted as one per household per team. Please do not give a gift to the same team for you, your spouse, your child etc. because you all will only be counted as one gift towards the challenge. There is an option to jointly make your gift from you and your spouse to ensure you are both credited for your generosity.
