What We're Fundraising For
The Men's Hockey team is an integral part of the UW-Eau Claire community. Our athletes follow the UW-Eau Claire mission of excellence to the highest standard. To continue the legacy of excellence, we need support from loyal fans like you to continue to compete at the top level.
The team locker room is an important part of the program, and it is in need of a renovation. Additionally, hockey gear is expensive, and our players are responsible for paying for some of that out of their own pockets. All dollars raised during DIII Week will go towards upgrading the team locker room and helping the program with equipment costs. Help us give our players the support that reflects the level of play our Blugolds put out on the ice!
Our Goal is to Beat our Best
Now in our fourth year of Athletics Giving Week, we are determined to surpass our best results yet. UWEC Director of Athletics, Jason Verdugo, has challenged all teams to exceed their top performance. If we reach our initial goal of 20 gifts, we’ll receive a $500 bonus, and hitting 25 will earn us an additional $500. Gifts are counted as one per household. Multiple gifts made from the same household will be disqualified from counting towards our goal.
Matching Gift Opportunity
J.C. Gibson '71 is matching all gifts to Men's Hockey up to $500 and Clearwater Capital Group, LLC is matching all gift dollar-for-dollar up to $4,000! That means all gifts until we reach $4,500 are going to be doubled for Men's Hockey. Make your gift during Athletics Giving Week to take advantage of this opportunity to double your support and help alleviate the financial burden our players face.
Gifts are counted as one per household per team. Please do not give a gift to the same team for you, your spouse, your child etc. because you all will only be counted as one gift towards the challenge. There is an option to jointly make your gift from you and your spouse to ensure you are both credited for your generosity.
