Click here for your last chance to watch the Virtual Viennese Ball beginning at 6:45 on Saturday, April 17!
The Viennese Ball is one of the trademark events of UW-Eau Claire. While the transformed Davies Center, authentic German and Austrian delicacies, and fabulous music featuring student ensembles make the event a highlight of the spring calendar, the impact of the largest and most elegant Viennese Ball outside Vienna goes far beyond the memory books.
Through ticket sales, the Viennese Ball has raised more than $1.5 million in music, service, and study abroad scholarships and awards throughout the past five decades of its history. Each year the Viennese Ball provides more than $30,000 in scholarships to outstanding UW-Eau Claire students. These scholarships are made possible through Viennese Ball ticket sales, and 2021 is the second year in a row without an in-person ticketed event to celebrate the romance and elegance of 19th-century Austria.
This year's virtual format provides a free event for all to enjoy safely from home, but we're asking for your help to support our students whose musical talents make this time-honored event a university treasure.
From its earliest days, the Viennese Ball has promoted new and vibrant relations among the University, community, and international partners. Please help us to keep the magic of the Ball alive by giving to support the student scholarships that the Viennese Ball has made possible since 1974.
In gratitude for gifts of $500 and greater, donors will receive an appreciation package that includes a digital link to the musical audio from the 2021 Virtual Viennese Ball and two Friday night tickets for the 2022 Viennese Ball (April 2, 2022).
