UWEC Geology alumni have fond memories of field camps in New Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming filled with visions of solving complex geological problems, battling cacti, and grueling days spent amidst spectacular scenery - and we aren't going to let COVID-19 stop this year's students from having the same amazing experience!
With an abundance of safety measures, we're preparing for our send our next group of Geology students to field camp (this time, in a "bubble" format).
Unfortunately, field camp is unaffordable for many students. COVID-19 caused many students to lose their service-industry jobs, and many of their parents have experienced financial hardship as well.
Your gift to the Myers/Willis Geology Field Camp scholarship provides a geology student with life-changing field camp opportunity. And, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar by professor emeritus Dr. Paul Myers and geology alum Ric Kopp (’75)!
Give now to the Myers/Willis Geology Field Camp Scholarship fund. Your gift will help defray the cost of the field camp experience for geology students so that all students, regardless of their financial situation, have the opportunity to attend field camp.
Please make a gift of any size to the Adopt a Field Camper program for Field Geology students. Please see the giving level options to learn more about how you can "adopt" a field camper!
Thanks so much for supporting today's Geology students!
