Football 

The Blugold Football team is an integral part of the UW-Eau Claire community as one of the oldest teams on campus. Our athletes follow the UW-Eau Claire mission of excellence to the highest standard. To continue the legacy of excellence, we need support from loyal fans like you to continue to compete and recruit. 

Our program has several projects that need your help:

• Locker Room - Current lockers are over 15 years old and are worn down. They need repairing and some replacing. 
• Meeting Room - We are in the beginning stages of converting a storage area into a meeting room that will allow the players to study and prepare for our opponents. We currently don't have our own meeting area. We need funds for TV's, laptops and other technologies to complete the room.
• Training equipment - Being that we live in northern Wisconsin, we need to spend the off-season training indoors. We do not have adequate equipment to train football movements and the ability to use sleds due to the floor surfaces we train on. We need to purchase power sleds that maximize football power, but also do not damage our floors. 

In addition, as training continues to evolve with advanced research, so does the recovery process for student-athletes. Now, with the help of our strength and conditioning coaches, our coaches are better able to train our players and are taking it a step further by aiding them in the recovery process and ensuring they are getting enough food during the day.

That is why the football program invested in a new fueling station within the football office. Stocked with items proven to help with recovery, such as bread and peanut butter, protein bars and a fridge stocked with chocolate milk, players can stop from the weight room to the locker room or stop in between glasses to get what they need. However, with such an extensive roster, keeping the fueling station stocked costs $400 a week. A donation of any amount can make a difference for one of our players.  

Operating an elite football program is expensive. The annual budget cannot cover all the costs needed at times. A donation to the John Kell Football Endowment allows the program to run at an elite level.
