Women's Lacrosse
The Women's Lacrosse team is a new and important part of the UW-Eau Claire community. Unfortunately, because we do not play in a conference, we do not have an NCAA automatic bid to play as other schools do. With few women’s lacrosse teams in the Midwest, the team must travel to get games in. And to be eligible for the NCAA post-season, the team must play at least 17 games, which is a challenge not only because of the distance to opponents but also because of the weather. Next year, the Blugolds will join a conference that includes teams in Colorado and Texas. The Blugolds will travel to Colorado next year and to the east coast, where more women’s lacrosse programs exist.
Your support will help us travel to compete against these schools. We have proven that we can play and win against our Midwest competitors and want to take the program to the next level by competing against established programs. Help our young program continue to grow and compete at the top level by making a gift to support Women's Lacrosse. In addition, when the department reaches 100 donations to ANY women’s program, it will unlock a $1,000 donation to the Judy Kruckman Women’s Opportunity Fund, allowing your gift during DIII Week to have twice the impact!
Your generous support will play an important role in the maintenance and growth of UW-Eau Claire Lacrosse.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you cheering us on this season. We are grateful for every student-athlete, coach, athletic trainer, administrator, and fan of Blugold Lacrosse and can’t wait to see what our future has in store for us. Go Blugolds!
