UW-Eau Claire Geology alumni have fond field camp memories from New Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming where they solved complex geological problems, battled cacti, spent grueling days amidst spectacular scenery, and nights in the field lab finalizing their projects. We will again be striving to provide amazing learning experiences in both our New Mexico and Montana field camps this year. This year’s Field Camp I will be special as we are celebrating our 25th consecutive year of running it in southern New Mexico.
Unfortunately, field camp is unaffordable for many students. For this reason, we ask you, our alumni and friends, to consider extending a helping hand to these students by donating to our Adopt-A-Field-Camper fund.
Your Adopt-A-Field-Camper donation goes directly into the Myers/Willis Geology Field Camp scholarship fund, and it provides a geology student with an opportunity to experience the life-changing event that is field camp. An added bonus to your donation is that it will be matched dollar-for-dollar by donations from Ric Kopp (’75), Curt (’77) & Laura Peck, and Emeritus Professor Dr. Paul Myers!
The Myers/Willis Geology Field Camp Scholarship fund helps defray the costs of the field camp experience so all geology students, regardless of their financial situation, can afford to attend field camp. A financial gift of any size to the Adopt a Field Camper program helps us meet our goal. Please see the giving level options to learn more about how you can "adopt" a field camper!
Thanks so much for supporting today's Geology and Environmental Science students!
