Men's Track and Field
The Men's Track and Field team is a highly decorated and integral part of the UW-Eau Claire community. Our athletes follow the UW-Eau Claire mission of excellence to the highest standard. The Indoor Men's Track and Field team claimed their third national championship title in school history in March. To continue the legacy of excellence, we need support from loyal fans like you to continue to compete at the top level.
Coming off an exciting national title win, we realize that our athletes would benefit from having custom jerseys to wear at nationals that encompass their Blugold pride at a national level. These would be separate from our regular uniforms we wear at all other meets during the year. The cost per uniform is about $100 per uniform, and we will need about 25 for the Men's team.
For the first time in over 20 years, we will be bringing outdoor track and field meets back to UW-Eau Claire in 2023 thanks to the upgrades to Simpson Field. But to stay competitive with other hosts, we would like to add a few additional pieces of equipment to Simpson Field. We would like to build an elevated, portable pole vault runway to allow us to have 2 pole vault runways outdoors. We would also like to get electronic measuring devices for measuring discus/hammer/javelin. These devices help speed up the meet and are very accurate as almost all meets use them now. The materials to build a portable pole vault runway costs roughly $6,000, and an electronic measuring device costs roughly $5,000 each. Every dollar will add up to help us with these enhancements.
Your support for Track and Field benefits current and future athletes. Your generous support will play an important role in the maintenance and growth of UW-Eau Claire Track and Field.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you cheering us on this season. We are grateful for every student-athlete, coach, athletic trainer, administrator, and fan of Blugold Track and Field and can’t wait to see what our future has in store for us. Go Blugolds!
