Men's Basketball
As we look forward to the 2022-2023 season, we ask that you strongly consider supporting the Blugold Men’s Basketball Program by donating to our Ken Anderson Men’s Basketball Fund. Funds raised will be used in our Foreign Trip this August as we travel to Costa Rica. This rare experience will help our team grow both athletically and culturally as we have an opportunity to play against and learn from Costa Rica national teams.
The NCAA allows teams to take 1 “foreign” trip outside of the season every 4 years. Eau Claire has not used that option, ever. The trip will consist of 3 exhibition games against local teams that are either club or university affiliated. In preparation for the trip, the NCAA allows 10 practice sessions during the summer. Typically in the off-season, there’s no coaching contact, so there’s a significant advantage for taking a trip like this!
Your support will give the team a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel and play in Costa Rica. The cost is roughly $3,000 per player, so your support will ensure the entire team can take part in this growth and training opportunity.
