We had a fantastic homecoming and first practice in the new wrestling room.  We had Coach Parker and a great showing from Blugold wrestling alumni, including 5 returning All Americans!  A special thanks to so many that have put within reach of our goal. We are at $5000 left to raise and we will be able to finish ordering the graphics and equipment.  I hope you will give and come back to campus to see what this has done!!  Let’s get this finished!  Thank you Blugold Wrestling alumni and fans!! 

Today we spent the entire day hanging wall mats in the new wrestling room.  We hope that you can come out to see it all at our Grand Opening on October 11th at 430PM.  It will go from an empty room to a fully matted and branded home for Blugold Wrestling.  We hope you can join us.

We also hope that you can help us reach our goal of $100,000.

We are only $8000 away of reaching that goal and are currently taking online donations and 3 year pledges.

We are less than two weeks from the Resilite semi truck pulling up to McPhee and delivery of our new wrestling mats.  These new mats will have to be rolled out and left to "cure" for a week on each side.  We will be busy installing the floor and wall mats while that is happening.  We are getting very close to our Phase 1 goal and hope to have everything in place for our Grand Opening on October 11th.  We will post pictures this week as equipment continues to be delivered.  Thank you for your consideration in giving to Blugold Wrestling

The new Blugold Wrestling facility has been completely cleaned out and painted.  This week we have installed two new windows in the room that will allow natural light to shine through...a much needed addition for the room!  We also received an order of equipment...our first one for this project.  

Thank you to all those alumni and fans that have given thus far. We have passed the halfway point to our fundraising goal of $100,000 but we still have a ways to go.  We have the matching donation made by a Blugold wrestler and can accept pledges made over three years.  Every dollar is matched so any consideration you can give is appreciated.  Go Blugolds!!

We had to clean the room before the facility could be painted. In this picture you can see the work being done to clean the chalk and dust out of vents, ledges and ducts.  Glen and our custodial crew did such a great job power washing that we discovered we had a natural lighting source on three walls of our wrestling room that was previously covered!!  Painting will be completed soon and we have started the process of selecting new equipment and wall graphics.  Please remember that any donation that you make now will be matched by a generous Blugold Wrestling alum!!  Help us reach our goal!!

We began the change over from fully equipped gymnastics room to new wrestling facility at the beginning of June.  The wrestlers and gymnasts cleaned out the room and moved all equipment to the new gymnastics center at the indoor sports center.
