What We're Fundraising For
The Men's Soccer team is a new and important part of the UW-Eau Claire community. Even though we are a newer sport at UW-Eau Claire, our athletes follow the UWEC mission of excellence to the highest standard. To continue the legacy of excellence, we need support from loyal fans like you to continue to compete and recruit at the top level.
In our first few seasons, we have proven to be a highly competitive team. To continue elevating our performance, we are seeking funding for two key investments:
The Catapult GPS tracking devices are essential for enhancing our team’s performance and ensuring player safety. These devices provide valuable insights in Distance covered, Top speed, and Player load. By analyzing these metrics, we can make informed decisions about recovery, playing time, and practice intensity, ultimately maximizing performance while reducing the risk of fatigue-related injuries.
Additionally, with our team frequently transitioning between Simpson Field and the Sonnentag Complex, we need more folding soccer nets to streamline these moves. Having portable, easy-to-set-up nets will allow us to efficiently run drills and scrimmages, ensuring we make the most of our training sessions regardless of the location.
Your support will directly enhance our athletes’ development, safety, and overall success on the field. Thank you for helping us continue to grow as a competitive force.
Our Goal is to Beat our Best
Now in our fourth year of Athletics Giving Week, we are determined to surpass our best results yet. UWEC Director of Athletics, Jason Verdugo, has challenged all teams to exceed their top performance. If we reach our initial goal of $25,000, we’ll receive a $500 bonus, and hitting $27,000 will earn us an additional $500.
Gifts are counted as one per household per team. Please do not give a gift to the same team for you, your spouse, your child etc. because you all will only be counted as one gift towards the challenge. There is an option to jointly make your gift from you and your spouse to ensure you are both credited for your generosity.
