Blugold Emergency Support Fund
Being there in a time of need
A student is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness while working toward their college degree. Another learns that an immediate family member passed away unexpectedly but can’t afford a plane ticket home to attend the funeral. Sadly, these are some of the real circumstances experienced by UW-Eau Claire students. However, the UW-Eau Claire Foundation can provide some financial relief for Blugolds in these situations thanks to donations to the Blugold Emergency Support Fund.
About the Blugold Emergency Support Fund
The Blugold Emergency Support Fund was established in 2013 after two UW-Eau Claire students lost their lives in a house fire on Water Street and two students who escaped the fire lost everything. A group of faculty and staff determined a fund was needed to provide alumni, faculty and staff, students and community members to support students who encounter emergency financial situations, such as a house fire.
Giving to the Blugold Emergency Support Fund
Donations of all amounts will directly support UW-Eau Claire students who experience an unexpected or emergency financial situation. Whether you can give $10, $50, $100 or $250, your gift will provide comfort and support in a student's time of need.
